House of Immortality Pt 2!

Tai: When she nudged me, I had to admit, I was slightly confused. Then I understood why, she was confused, and I could hear some curiosity as well. Well, not hear it, but feel it- it's weird and difficult to describe. "Ah, you are probably wondering... Why I'm outside?" Her reaction to the question proved my theory to be right. "Well, I can't sleep, I've had trouble sleeping for... Well, as long as I can remember really. I..." I paused, not really know how to describe my power, and how other people's thoughts keep me awake. It isn't even their thoughts, it's their feelings. "I don't know how to control my power, and I can't really explain it, but usually there's no one out here and I can relax for a while. There's usually no feeling or emotions except my own. Besides, I've slept outside by myself for a good few years now, not too bad once you get used to it..." I lacked conviction in my words, sleeping outside isn't nice. It's horrible. But at least it's quiet. "I don't know if I made much sense, but it's hard to explain." I ended my words with a shrug before looking back to the wolf.

Cassie::
Oh well that certainly explained it. Not being able to sleep was certainly horrible. But sleeping outside couldn't be any better, especially if he didn't have any form of sleeping bag or anything. Plus, his words that he liked it were far from convincing. But she knew what it was like to not be able to control ones power, after all she was having that problem right now. There had to be some way to not concentrate on everything going on around him. Maybe focusing on one single person? It was still hearing emotion and everything but one.person had to be less chaotic than a ton of people right? It was like when she had first started transforming into a wolf. Everything was so.much brighter, louder and much more in your face as an animal. It could be over whelming and exhausting. So Cassie could see where he was having trouble. Unfortunately, there wasn't much she could do to help him. Unless.. there was a hammock in the back garden of the mansion. It was atleast better than the ground. She nudged him again, trying to get him up. She nearly knocked him over with her head but she wasn't sure if he would get the message. Cassie started to tug on his sweatshirt lightly.

Tai: Just as I had begun to relax again, sensing her understanding of my problem - I honestly thought that it would be the end of it. Then she nudged me- once, twice and then started to tug on my hoodie. I had just recovered from the second excitable nudge so I started to get up. "Okay, okay I'm coming." I stretched my arms up before following the wolf. She took me around the mansion, to where I wasn't sure. She took me around to the back of the large building, and there - not just out side, but where there were a few odd trees about, was a hammock. There were two, in fact. How had I not noticed them before? I had been around the back before, and had been living here about a week or so now and yet I had no idea that these existed. "I see where you're going, nice plan." I approached one and began to wonder how much I'd make a fool of myself if I fell of as I tried to get on. "Any idea which is the best way to get onto one of these?" I asked the wolf, knowing that she couldn't give me a straight answer because she couldn't speak. Hmm... I carefully sat in the middle of the hammock, hoping that I wouldn't fall off. It reminded me of when I first got a skateboard and had trouble balancing, I guess it just took time to get used to. I swung my legs up, but apparently with too much motion, because the hammock moved and I lost my balance with a mixture of confusion and panic. I was on the floor again, next to the hammock. "Don't day a thing..." I pointed to the wolf, knowing that it was a pathetic attempt and must have been embarrassing to witness. I managed to pull my legs up this time, but for now I just sat on it with my legs crossed, not trusting myself to be able to lie down on it just yet.

Cassie::
After she half dragged Tai around to the back of the building, she sat down and watched him try to get up into the hammock. It was amusing to say the least, with him completely flipping himself over and getting tossed back on the ground. Cassie couldn't help but snicker a little bit as she watched him sit back in the hammock, too afraid to try it again. It certainly was a spectacle watching him, and although she felt bad, this was the most she had been amused all night. Suddenly, Cassie felt a shiver down her spine. Maybe it was because she had finally relaxed, or maybe it was just because it had been a few hours, but she could feel a shift coming on. Quickly, she trotted off behind some trees, not wanting him to see the change. It was fast, but it still was a bit weird to witness. After emerging from behind the brush, Cassie three her hair up into a pony tail and brushed off her now pretty dirty jeans and t shirt. "Finally." She laughed as she made her way back over to the hammocks, glancing over at the man as she did so. "Well now that I can finally introduce myself, I'm Cassie." She rubbed the back of her neck a bit embarrassed and sat in the hammock on the other side. "Sorry about the whole wolf thing. Haven't really learned to control it yet."

Tai: I was really confused when she rushed off, but it all began to make sense as a young woman began to approach me. I had to admit, she was quite beautiful. I smiled a little. "Ahh, I finally get to know the really you. Well, Cassie, I'n Tai, and it's nice to meet you." My smile fades slightly. "I know what it's like to not be able to control your powers, I always feel like I'm invading people's personal space when I feel their emotions... It's... Weird. And even though I've known I've had it for years, I still have no idea how I'm supposed to try and tone it down." I had never really talked to anyone about it before I came here - people would think I'm insane! But everyone here seems to be quite nice, accepting. It was a nice change.

Cassie::
"Yea sorry. Normally the transformations normally don't last tbatong and I can somewhat control them but I'm not sure what really happened tonight. Anyway." She laughed and swung her legs over so she was laying I. The hammock. "You could try focusing on just one person's emotions. I know you still feel like you're invading their privacy but if the person was willing it would probably calm down all the chaos in your head. As a wolf, my senses increase dramatically and I do the same thing. Plus, listening in on a single persons emotions, someone you know at least, might be calming. It's be like having a connection or something with that person. I don't know." She didn't really know much about this and while it seemed to make sense in her head, the words seemed more muddy and unclear.as she spoke. "It's hard to explain but focusing just on one person instead of trying to take them all in at once might "tone it down". But after all, I can't control my powers either so I don't know how much listening to my advice will help you."

Tai: I listened to her as she spoke, and even though it was quite late, the words did make sense to me. The advice she was giving is actually very helpful, even though she is questioning it herself. "You make a very good point, and I think that might just work." I'm sure that Juliet wouldn't mind that much, she is quite the open book, and just enjoys talking to people, or at least to me. I'm sure she would be willing to help me out if I asked her. "Sleeping out here doesn't sound too bad either, I mean it's getting warmer out now so it might be nice. Camp out a few days when everything gets a bit much, and focus on one person when sleeping inside." I confirmed her two suggestions as I thought them over in my mind, feeling better about... Well everything really. "Sleeping outside may have to wait though, I don't think I've quite got the hang of this hammock yet."

Cassie::
"Well then I'm glad I could help. I'm not sure how well it transfers over from wolf to human but I guess that's something we'll find out." Cassie giggled and twisted the end of her ponytail. As Tai continued to struggle with the hammock she began laughing harder. "Well. I think you'll find that getting out of the hammock can actually be harder than getting in. So good luck with that. But I'm sure you'll get the hang of it eventually." This was most fun she had had talking to a person since she moved in. The other people in the mansion, while they were probably very nice people, were not as open as Tai was. He was her first real friend here, and the first person Cassie had interacted with for more than a few minutes. "If you ever want company if you feel like camping out here, you can always come find me. As long as I'm not trapped in my wolf form, I wouldn't mind sleeping under the stars for a few nights. Plus, I'll bring snacks and snacks are always good." Cassie knew what it was like to be lonely. It sucked and if Tai didn't have to feel that way then she felt better about it.

Tai: "I think the easiest way out is just to flip out. Kinda like a fish!" I couldn't help but laugh a bit as I imagined a fish in a hammock. The image tickled me a little bit. "And I will definitely hold you to that offer, because sneaks, company and camping out sounds like a good night to me." I smiled over at her, I had only really clicked with Juliet since living here, not really finding anyone else who I cared to socialise with, but Cassie was great. She was fun to talk to, and it was really easy to have a conversation with her... Even when she's a wolf and couldn't talk back. For me, emotions speak louder than words, quite literally, so speaking isn't always necessary for me. "How long have you lived here the ?"

Cassie::
"Hmm. That's a good question. I found this place shortly after I became a werewolf so, maybe three months? No. That's not right... probably closer to two months ago is when i moved in." Cassie looked back towards the mansion and sighed. "Don't get me wrong the place is amazing. It's just that a lot of the time it feels so empty. There really aren't many people living here right now and I don't know. Atleast the floor that I live on seems kind of deserted. Makes it hard to find other people and to socialise you know?" Cassie grew up in the middle of nowhere so she was used to an absence of people but, the mansion seemed like it had been full of life at one point. It was different than the small town that had always been deserted that she grew up in. And in her small town it was hard not to know everyone after being there for so long. New people to talk to were a bit of a foreign concept to her. "How long have you been here? I haven't really seen you in the mansion before but that doesn't mean anything. The place is huge."

Tai: "I've not been here long, just short of a month I think. It's weird here, like it's so different t from where I grew up. Like I'm used to having to rush everywhere otherwise you'll get caught in the crowds, loud stress and all that. It's not really a city, more of an overcrowded, big town. But it's nicer here, much calmer and I like that. I like not having to worry about massive crowds, but I think you're right as well. This place must have been extrnt busy once but now it really is deserted. It must have been built big for a reason." Why have all those rooms and floors if there was only a few people living there, much like there is now. It just would make sense.

Cassie::
"Ive never really been to a city. I grew up in a small town in the middle of no where up in the rocky mountains. I knew everyone that lived in town and everyone in town new me. I went through school with the same forty something kids from kindergarten to senior year in highschool. Most of them stayed there though, for who knows what reason." It had always been one of those towns people rarely got out of. Most people there hadn't gone to college and had been born there. Both Cassie's parents had been born and graduated there. But that life wasn't for her. Having everyone in your business all the time was annoying and troublesome. Though the mansion was similar in size, people kept to themselves more, allowing people their privacy that she was not granted back home. "In my whole town there was only one street light. So as you can imagine there really wasn't anything to do or any way to meet new people."

Tai: "Only one streetlight? You've Gotta be kidding, no town is that small. If anything that's just a street." I laughed softly, there was always a few streetlights per road where I came from, and they usually weren't needed. Not a lot of people left after dark, what with fear of being robbed or worse. Crime was a large problem where I came from, but I always went out after dark anyway, if I wasn't already out. Some days I wished I would be robbed and killed. That was at a low moment of my life, only a few years ago. Thank god I see things in a better light now. "I guess that isn't the best, but it's a bit better than having literally nobody notice or care that you weren't around, right? Better than being nothing at all." I shrugged it off like it was nothing, like I was just suggesting a worse scenario for her to picture.

Here James was, sitting in his car in the lot of the mansion with a bag of art supplies and a phone to his ear. He was a painter, a good one at that. He would make many of paintings and sell them just to make a living. Despite being in a mansion in a room in which he lived in. If he sold enough paintings, he could live in a house. But james didnt see a reason to move out and get a bigger place when he really didnt need much space in general. "Alright, look, let me go and i'll talk to you later." he hung up and put the phone into his pocket and grabbed the bag in the passsenger's seat. He also grabbed a bag in the back which held a bottle of scotch inside. Okay, he may have had the good looks and the talent of painting, but he might have had an addiction to alcohol as well as cigarettes. He's been trying to cut down but with Spirit in his possession, it was hard to do so since that's what kept spirit from hurting. Getting out of his car, he closed the door behind him and locked the car as he approached the mansion

Juliet: Currently, I was in the kitchen, making spaghetti bolognaise. I may have overestimated how much I needed to use and would probably have enough for more than one person... Oh well. Everything was cooking, the pasta in a pan of boiling water and the actual bolognaise in a pan next to it. I might not be the best at cooking, but I did love spaghetti bolognaise and I hadn't had it in quite a while so I thought why not? I had my earphones on, well, One of them in and was humming along to my music as I watched te meal cook, occasionally stirring the bolognaise whenever it was staring to stick. Hopefully it wouldn't be too long now because I was erring very hungry.

James opened the front door of the mansion and stepped in, only to be greeted by a scent that he had no knowlege of. Clearly it was food, but what kind of food? Raising his eyebrow he headed to the kitchen and peeked inside to see a woman's back to him as she stood in front of the stove. "Well well." he put his bags on the counter and made his way over, starting to notice she had white earphones on due to the wire being brighter than her hair. Once James was close enough, he lifted his hand and pulled the one earphone out "And what is a lovely lady like yourself listening to?" he would have asked what she was cooking buuuut, he was going to hold off on that.

Juliet: I had heard footsteps coming into the kitchen, which didn't bother me, but as soon as I felt someone come too close for my liking - going as far to pulling my earphone out - I turned around immediately, getting extremely defensive. Normally, I would have punched the person and told them to not touch me - the phrase I usually used was 'get your fucking hands off of me' but the mansion seemed less dangerous than the rest of the world so I held off. "That, is none of your business." I paused my music for now, not giving him the chance to even guess what kind of music it was. I was just listening to Queen, but he was a stranger and I have always been very weary around strangers. Especially the touchy feely kind.

James chuckled softly and backed off a bit, sliding his hands into his pockets "Fiesty one." he stated as he leaned against the counter "Well is it okay that I ask what you're making? It's not a very familiar smell to me." seeing as it was clear he never had what she was making. And he was a vampire. Who loved cooking. "I promise I wont steal any." he added as he just studied the girl before him who had these crystal-like eyes with the blue and gray mixed together, her hair a wonderful shade of lilac. Heck, James was getting inspiration just by looking at her! "I'm James, by the way." had to introduce himself after all.

Juliet: As he backed off a bit, I get myself relax slightly. His intentions didn't appear to be bad. "I'm making spaghetti bolognaise, you've really never had it before?" Perhaps it was because I grew up in a place which had to feed a lot of people at the same time, I had different experience with food. We always had stuff which was easy to cook and good for cooking for higher numbers of people, like stews or casseroles, or pasta. I did miss Kaylee's cooking. She often baked things as well, and she let me help her with most of the things. I felt a little uncomfortable knowing he was staring at me slightly, I shifted, moving back to stir my bolognaise. "You can have some if you want, I kinda made too much... I'm not really used to cooking for just myself." I let out a short, slightly nervous laugh. "Oh, I'm Juliet, by the way."

"It's nice to meet you, Juliet."  he bowed his head slightly. So the food she was making had been called Spaghetti Bolognaise. Interesting name. "Cooking a lot is good in it's own way. Think about it, if you had some today, reheated it tomorrow, you can freeze the leftovers for some other time when you're in the mood for it again." the vampire shrugged because he knew that he did it all the time. That's when he had human food over blood for that day. "I'll eat some with you though to narrow down the portion." a soft smile had been planted on his lips and it was clear he had no intention of getting close and trying to make her nervous or afraid. "Let's just hope a picky person like myself would like it."

Juliet: "Alright mr picky person... Tell me, are there any foods that you really don't like in particular?" If there was and they were in my bolognaise, I'd take them out. However, it's such a simple recipe and there's really not that much that goes into it. I prefer keeping it simple. Tinned tomatoes, mushrooms, onion and mince. Plus some mixed herbs just to add a bit of flavour. I grabbed two... Half bowls? They were like a mixture of plate and bowl, like a plate that had a bit of a dip in it... I don't know, but they looked good for serving up some spaghetti. I put the pasta on first, before adding the bolognaise on top. Some people like to combine them before serving up, but I just leave that to the eater most of the time. I put his OM the counter near him, also giving him a fork. "It is a good thing, especially if you need to use up some food that may be about to go off." I shrugged before twirling my fork in my food, wrapping the spaghetti around it and m eating, enjoying the meal that felt like home to me.

God of the Sea


Kyungsoo's face fell bringing his attention back toward his food, tasting the flavor and different sorts of textures it really made his taste buds lure. His eyes made there way up to her cup, but toward her spoon which led her to plush swollen lips. His eyes didn't last long until one of his chop sticks slipped from his ring finger. He let out a clear rough sigh, before picking it up again placing it back to where it was suppose to be. Before picking more noodles up as the white korean sauce slipped and followed toward his mouth. His heart shaped lips trapped the noodles in before biting down to cut it apart having the rest fall back into the place and there he was again chewing. He took his time eating, not saying much because he wasn't much on keeping up a conversation with such food in their mouths. Yet hers seemed to melt when it hit her heated breath, he chewed breaking the noodles up into different pieces making it easier for him to eat. When he finished, he placed the wooden chop sticks on the empty foam plate. He smiled at her and let out a quick chuckle, knowing it's been a few hours since the coffee shop. "Is there anything else perhaps you'd like to do?" His eyes met hers, such warmth was felt was he let the contact to continue. But soon breaking it too, close the little box which left sauce that had made its way off the noodles. But he took a deep breath before clearing his throat.

"We have lingered in the chambers of the sea"

Haley was eating pretty much peacefully, occassionally managing to mix her icecream and getting a very off combo of the flavors. Of course, the wolf loved it. The cup was now almost finished and Kyungsoo had already closed up the foam box and put his chopsticks on top of it which told the wolf he was finished. Then he had asked her if there was anything else she'd like to do "Hmm.. I dont believe so.." she gently tapped the small spoon on her lips in thought before stopping and shaking her head "Nope. So it's your turn to pick something to do." a smile spreaded across her lips "Name just about anything." Haley didnt mind where they went just as long as it wasnt something wrong like a strip club or something. But just looking at Kyungsoo, there was no way he would think that way.

James watched as she began to set everything up on a plate "Mostly fish items. Like Tuna, caviar. I'm just not a fish person I guess." he shrugged and watched as she presented the food on the counter which made him pull his hands from his pockets and take a closer look at the food. Only to be handed a fork and he took it. He was a person to mix the items together on his plate and so he mixed "I'm sure this doesnt have fish in it. So i'll be fine." he took his fork and started to twirl it inside the spaghetti and then lifted it to his his mouth, where he took the bite and blinked as the flavors danced on his tounge. James turned his attention to Juliet as he chewed. His expression said it all. That it was good.

Juliet: "Yeah, I'm not a fan of fish either. I don't actually eat much meat in general, just when I fancy it... Like today I guess." I shrugged as I tucked into my own food, enjoying the taste of a proper home cooked meal - reminded me of home. Even if home was different for me compared to other people. After swallowing my bite, I couldn't help but let out a small laugh, more like a giggle to be fair. His expression was just incredible! "I take it it's either really good or really really bad." I don't think it was the latter, because I've made enough of this dish to get it extremely close to perfection. With just the right amount of herbs and a good proportion of bolognaise to pasta. I started to eat more as I anticipated his answer.

James swallowed his food and spoke "Pfft, it's horrible." he said with sarcasm "Of course its good. It's amazing. I mean, not as good as my cooking of course." the smile that began to form on his lips said that he was joking and busting her chops. That's how the moroi rolled even though cigs is what had him rolling more "Though I do want to learn how to make this dish." He did know how to make a good bit of things for himself. Even fancy looking dishes! Maybe one day he'll teach her to cook some of his things too. Without learning about his addictions. Not many people liked to hang out with others who were addicted to at least something. "I'll be having this for dinner till it runs out. Just letting yuo know that for sure."
