This is a serious case of miscommunication. I never purposefully friend zoned you, I just heard you thought we were better as friends and that's really why I haven't asked you about us on any level of friendship or something more serious. *sighs and rubs his eyes* Isolt's gone, and she isn't coming back. Oh... I see... Well if all of this... Whatever it is, is because of miscommunication and we're not really friend zoned - at least I think that's what you're trying to say - do you think that maybe that means the window's back open, metaphorically? I'm not saying 'Lets definitely date, it sounds like a great idea!', I'm just saying that, if we're not friend zoned, what's holding us back?))


Despite how nervous I was - I had no experience with balls so I was really worried about messing up in some way - I tried to put it all behind me. Why? Because I remembered that, a few months ago, Elsa said that she had been planning to avoid the masquerade ball. After 3 months of dating the woman I had learnt a lot about her and knew that she hated dresses, disliked dancing and, well, after how her last ball went, she'd probably be more anxious about tonight than I was. I realised a couple days ago that she was only going through with attending the ball because she didn't want to disappoint her little sister, or me, for that matter. If she was going to put up with the things she disliked just for us, the least I could do was make it an enjoyable experience for her. Or try to, at least. That's why I could be seen physically shaking off the nerves as I made my way to my girlfriend's room, why I could be seen smiling - albeit a little nervously - as I ruffled my unruly hair with the hand that wasn't currently holding a box and a bag containing my casual clothes right now and why, as I knocked on Elsa's door, I called out, "M'lady? Your Prince Charming has arrived to escort you to the ball!" Ok, calling myself Prince Charming sounded stupid now that I said it out loud. I just hoped that Elsa took it in a light-hearted, trying to joke around way, not an arrogant way...

Justin's outfit:

He had lost his jacket, huh? Or rather, Micah lost Henry's jacket. Kids would be kids, I guess, but now it was holding us back a little. Entering Henry's room, I set my daughter on the ground before narrowing my eyes at my ball buddy for the evening. "Word of warning: So much as even smirk at my dress and I'll kick you in the balls so hard you'll sound like a chipmunk, even when you reach 70 years old, understand?" Just to prevent any teasing comments about me wearing a dress, because I knew there was bound to be plenty of them. With the warning being given I started helping Henry search the room for his jacket while Sora entertained herself with Micah. It took a couple minutes but I found it halfway behind the drawers. Great. I couldn't exactly bend down in the nightmare of an outfit. Pursing my lips a little, I looked over to the mini me on the bed. "Sora, can you come and pick up this jacket for mommy?" I had trained the kid pretty damn well for someone who thought they'd be a c*** mom, because she did exactly what she was told and managed to reach behind the drawers to get to the jacket. She didn't give it back to me, though. Instead, she put it on - which was funny because it was waaay to big for her - and walked over to Henry. "Say please, Hen-Hen!" Ah, that's my girl, making there be a catch to get the jacket back. She could've asked for money or sweets, though. Why the heck did she just ask for a 'Please'?!

Not much. Trying to occupy myself with Solitaire but I keep losing :/

Well, I suppose that does open the window again, metaphorically, but holding us back... I'm not really sure. I mean, our children like eachother well enough, Sora doesn't hate me and Micah adores you. I'm a normal guy who isn't afraid that you're royalty. There's nothing really holding us back, but that doesn't mean that we should just jump into this thing. I love us, now. This friendship thing, it's possibly the only thing keeping me here and away from moving back home. I don't want us to give this a try and then something screw up for us not to be friends anymore. I don't think I could handle that.

Elsa: Had I mentioned before that I hate dresses? I had been trapped in a society where dresses were the only clothing available for women and now that I was free, I didn't want to wear a dress. Though, I have to admit that my sister knew how to make a wonderful dress, and I felt honored to wear this one. I had dressed nearly hours earlier, but that was out of nervousness. I wanted to make sure that nothing went wrong, and that I didn't look wrong of course. In the hours of spare time I had I somehow had convinced myself that my hair needed a change, even if for just one night. No braids or buns, I just undid the braid and let my hair free too. After all, if I could be free I wanted to be free entirely. The platinum blonde hair was a little wavy, where the braid had molded it as such, but relatively straight and I just hoped it wasn't too different for Justin.
Prince charming arrived just as I was beginning to lose myself in a book, and by prince charming I mean most literally because he had said so himself. I tossed the book onto the bed and picked up my mask, tying it at the back of my head. "Be right there, Charming." After sliding my shoes on, heels much to my displeasure, I approached the door and opened it to smile at the dark haired man before me. "Don't you look wonderful, dear prince. Are you here to ask my company for the ball? I'll have to inform you, kind sir, I'm promised to another. Sir Justin Bridges has already asked me to accompany him..."

Henry: "Right, no smirking at the dress, I'd like to keep my voice the way it is and the possibility of children in my future." I nodded my head and got to my feet again, my hands on my hips as I tried spotting the jacket from the center of the room. It seemed impossible, honestly. How could a two year old just lose a jacket in one room? Giving one glance towards Yuffie, hoping she wouldn't see me do it, I admired the dress she was wearing. I mean, even if she didn't like dresses she could still fill one out rather beautifully. Seems my partner to this ball was a fox really, I'd have to beat the lads off with a stick. Not that Yuffie couldn't handle herself though.
Sora was a mastermind, much like her mother. The smaller girl approached me, after her mother had given her instruction to give her the jacket, and she made a request of me. "Please, young princess of Wutai, I beg of you..." I dropped to one knee and held out a hand towards her, requesting the jacket for myself. "Please give me the jacket." That wasn't so difficult, I had great manners anyway so saying please would've been the first thing I had done to ask for the jacket.

"A week from now." I said as I sat there with a blank expression on my face. My mind was running a thousand miles a minute. Thinking about what I would even do with a baby, let alone aces baby. And so young? I didn't know if I could handle it. But I guess if have to learn to. I certainly wouldn't make ace be involved if he didn't want to be either. I mean it's not like he planned for this either. "Alright ace look. I can take care of the baby by myself. You don't have to help or be around if you don't want to be. You didn't mean for this to happen and neither did I. I should've been more careful. But, if I am pregnant I'll be able to fend for myself just fine."

Macey::
All of a sudden I started breathing really heavy. SHIT! Oh god oh god no. This couldn't end well... When he found out... When he found out both the baby and I would be dead. There would be absolutely no saving us. we'd be dead end of story. Or, the baby would be and I'd be back with that monster. I hugged my knees into my chest and put my head down on them. Oh god this is why I didn't drink, because I got myself into situations like this... And who was I kidding? I didn't know anything about vampires. Let alone half vampires. Buy, I had seen the movies. Human women couldn't have vampire children could they? What would happen if I did?

Well then... We'll just have to promise not to stop being friends if things go downhill. *Shrugs.* I know it sounds too easy to be even possible, but I guess we wont know until we get to that point and, if we play our cards right, we wont ever get to that point anyway.

"Sir? Since when was I knighted, Elsa?" I asked with a smile before it crossed my mind that I completely blew my cover. "I-I mean, uhhh, I don't think Sir Justin realises what a beautiful woman he is courting, but I do. He believes himself to be the angel, but I see an angel standing right here in front of me." Ok, perhaps that was overplaying it a little but seriously, Elsa looked so stunning in that dress, words really couldn't describe it, but I just kept thinking about how lucky I was to be dating her. "Please, for one night forget Sir Justin and allow me to escort you to the ball. This Prince Charming needs a Snow White, afterall. And I brought I gift." I gestured to the box with a slight smirk, surprised Elsa was going along with this little game but hey, it was so worth it because we were having fun before we had even gotten to the ballroom!

At first I was wondering what the heck Henry was doing getting down on one knee in front of Sora, but instead of asking her to marry him, he asked for the jacket instead. Sora giggled at this and gave Henry his jacket, but my heart was racing. "Holy Leviathan, you almost gave me a heart attack!" I exclaimed, feeling my heartbeat under my hand - oh no, Anna was influencing me! "It looked like you were gonna propose to her for a moment!" While I did want my Little Gremlin to get married someday, I didn't want her to get married at 2 years old, to someone almost 20 years her senior! It took a moment for my heart to calm down, but once it had, I was able to start seeing things as a joke. Sure, I wasn't able to laugh just yet, but I was able to walk over to the two, pick Sora up and give her a jokingly stern, "Geez, Sora, can't you wait until you're a teenager before you lure in the guys?" This seemed to produce even more giggles, along with my daughter trying to reach out to Henry. "Nuh uh, I'm not letting you two love birds get too close until you're 18!"

Macey::
"God how did we let this happen ace?" I frowned and buried my face in his side. "No... It's not your fault... How did I let this happen...?" After all that I'd been through, I thought I would be more careful when it came to things like this but apparently not. "I'm sorry ace... I'm so sorry I got you into this..."

Justin doesn't know much about balls, so he kinda went with the prom tradition of getting the girl a flower bracelet thing. *Shrugs.*

Macey::
I sighed and wiped my eyes even though surprisingly I hadn't cried. He was right we'd figure it out somehow right? I mean I knew raising the baby would be hard but it couldn't be that hard could it? Only time would tell. In the mean time it was probably best to get my mind off of it. "Sure I'll go with you. Where are we going?"

Macey::
After he left, I got my clothes and showered, got dressed, put on make up and Rama brush through my hair, just throwing it into a messy bun. If we were going to go get a truck that had been mudding, work boots were probably the best bet. So, I laced them up and grabbed a sweatshirt, incase I was cold in my shorts and tank top, and I walked down the stairs to meet ace at his car. He had probably been waiting ten minutes already by the time I got there and I felt kind of bad but it couldn't be helped. "I'm ready to go."

Macey::
"So I guess you're probably doing this a lot then? Your truck got him out so easily you're probably the first person that they call." I looked behind me through the back window and watched as the truck began sliding forward, the suction from the mud breaking. "I wish is still had mine. I miss both of my trucks actually." I wondered if my dad still had them, he probably did knowing him. He has always been sentimental about stuff like that. Actually, since I didn't that's the camaro with me anymore, I could probably go back to get the trucks. Or atleast see if he still had them.

Henry: I hadn't realized had made any move to scare Yuffie, she should probably relax a little. Once the small girl gave me my jacket I stood, sliding it on effortlessly. "Well, thank you little Sora, but your mother seems to be a little on edge about suitors while you are only two. I like much older women, no offense." I adjusted my tie and looked to Yuffie, smiling. "When she's eighteen, I'll be... Thirty six, nearly thirty seven. I think I'll pass, the age difference is quite serious." Offering my hand to Micah, I picked him up from the bed and then offered my other hand to Sora. "Shall I escort you down to the ball, princess?" Of course I was quite fond of little Sora, it seemed as if I trusted children more than I trusted most adults, but me date somebody younger by so many years? I'd never be that guy, stealing somebody's youth.

Elsa: "As long as you're here I suppose, and you come bearing gifts, then I'll have to take your offer Charming." I stepped out into the hall and shut the door, joining Justin with a smirk. "What, kind Sir, do you have for me? Hopefully nothing too fancy, for I cannot accept in fear that my boyfriend will find out." I took the gift offered and leaned back against the door slightly. I suppose I felt a little awkward, this being the first actual date to a ball I've had, and I was practically freaking out because this would be the first ball since my incident. What if something went wrong? What if I messed up and accidentally freeze a bunch of people? That'd be the last thing I need right now. That anybody needs from me right now.

But are you willing to make that promise and risk it, because people promise things all the time and they don't necessarily go through with it. *shrugs* We don't have to do this, I know that we mesh well as friends but it could be completely different as a couple. Everything is different when you're a couple. Could you seriously see yourself being with me? I don't wanna jump into anything and then regret it later because things are awkward, us being too good of friends to be serious.
