I knew this all already, but it helped to hear it from someone else. Some other immortal, that is, not one of my mothers. "Thanks," I said softly. "It's good to meet someone else like me - not that you're really like me, but..." I stammered to a stop. "You know what I mean," I settled on.

Cassidy: I laughed quietly. "Yeah, we're the same, cuz we're both not human. But we're different because werewolves and rain singers are two completely different things." I smiled a little, and looked at him out of the corner of my eye. "It's nice to meet another person like me. Makes you feel less alone, even if we're nothing alike."

i wake up and look around. how did i get to my room? i shrug it off slightly because i was with Sam the last i remember, and he wouldnt let anything happen to me. i get up and walk down to the kitchen to have a glass of water

James:
i sit down next to her and kiss her forehead just go to sleep ok?

Cassidy: Now that he mentioned it I was supposed to be at the mansion. Oh well, it could wait a bit. "I was, on my way to the mansion." Cutting through the woods was quicker then going along the road, because I could run in my wolf form. "But then I smelt a human, or somethig close enough, and I thought they'd got lost or something, so I came to see if I could help." I explained.

Sam: When I cam downstairs the next morning I saw emmie in the kitchen and smiled. Then snuck up behind her and wrapped my arms round her waist. "Good morning." I murmured as I kissed her shoulder.

"You mean that mansion?" I gestured to where we could just see it's roof over the trees. "I've lived in this area my whole life, and I've never even met the people who live there. I always thought they must be important politicians or ambassadors or something. Why would you be going there?" Then it dawned on me. "Wait... Do immortals live in that house?"

Cassidy: I grinned when it clicked. "Yup! Loads of them. Every different one you could imagine." I looked over towards the roof, and tried to imagine what it would look like inside. I guess I'd find out soon. "Immortals have been escaping to there from all over the place. All of them either needing somewhere to stay, or just somewhere they felt they could belong."

Sam: I smiled, and kissed her back softly. When I pulled away I smiled a little more. "How did you sleep?"

I looked at the mansion again, wistfully now. "That should be nice," I said. "I wish I could stay there. I think it would be... nice... to live with other immortals. Less lonely."

Cassidy: I nodded and got to my feet. Brushing the dirt and leaves off my jeans. "Well, since I was on my way there... How about we go together?" I'd feel better not turning up on my own. And then he'd get to see what it was like. "just so you can see what it's like."

"I'd love to, I really would," I said honestly. "But my moms would worry if I just vanished. Maybe if I told them where I was going... but they would probably not want me to leave them anyway. Though things really haven't been the same at home since I found out what I was." Maybe this could work. I really wanted to go to the mansion, but I didn't want to leave my parents. But I would still be able to visit... and I was getting to the point in my life where I was starting to think about leaving home.

Cassidy: I nodded, understanding. Yeah his mums probably would be worried. Wait, mums! As in plural. Ok... I pushed that thought aside I could always ask later. But right now I wanted to convince him to come. "Just come with me, have a look round, see what it's like. You'd only have to be there like an hour then you could go home." It would be better for him if he was at the mansion. With people who understand him, people who are like him. "I'll even give you a ride home." I offered, that way he could be home in 15 minutes at the most.

I saw her look as she registered the parental plural. Inwardly, I winced. I hated it when people looked at me oddly when they found out I had two lesbian moms. I guessed this was one individuality that would even set me apart from immortals. That was okay, though. Everyone else would have their own uniqueness, too. "Okay," I said. "I'll go look, but just look, mind. And what did you mean by 'ride?' You don't have a car, do you?"

Cassidy: I shook my head and laughed a little. "I'm only 15, cause I don't have a car." But I just smirked and left it at that. I walked backwards a couple of steps, in the direction of the mansion. "You coming then?"

Sam: I laughed a little. "It's a secret I'm afraid." I teased. Then pulled away from her to get some orange juice out the fridge.
