I soon come to my senses when I hear the voice of someone. He talks to me. A youngish man, obviously some sort of wizard or warlock. With elves we can tell what species someone is when it may not be at all obvious by the naked eye. I hold my bow tight. I think it could be a nervous thing, or maybe I don’t quite trust who this is. He wears some sort of human device though on his beat. I’ll trust him for now.

I slight the quiver over my back and look the man in the eyes. “A while.” I reply. I don’t want to go into detail about my life with someone I don’t even know. I realise that I’m being rude. I don’t want to be rude so I ask a question. “So, you live here.”

I nodded my head in answer to the girl, realising that, like me, she tended to be antisocial, not very talkative to strangers. Perhaps this was one of the flaws that had led to my undoing, not just that I had killed so many and lost love - more than once. Perhaps being antisocial was yet another problem for me. Although, looking back on my past, you could see why I would be antisocial, prefer to keep to myself. No, I had to change, perhaps if I changed, I could get my life back on track and be the father Hope, and Kiara, deserved. Trying to be social, I added to my answer. "I've lived here for a couple years now." How old was Kiara now, biologically? 2 years? Just over? So I had been here at least 3 and a half years. Wow, so much had happened in such a short space of time... "And I suppose you live here too, correct?" In all honesty, I wouldn't know how long this girl had even been here. I had only really left my room to feed Hope and take her outside for some fresh air, and I never really paid attention to the others around me.

“I moved in today.” I wouldn’t, again, tell him my reasons for moving here. In fact, this was the perfect time to use my cover identity. Nobody could know who I was. Though the possibility of someone knowing who I am or hearing about me was slim, I couldn’t take a risk so big. I extend out my free hand. “My name’s Rose.”

I eyed her hand for a moment before deciding to accept the handshake. "I'm Joe, it's nice to meet you, Rose." I introduced myself as I shook her hand before glancing at the bow she held again. Perhaps I could... No, although I did need a hobby, archery would be tempting - you could kill with a bow and arrow and I refused to do anythig that may make me revert back to my old ways. "And welcome to the mansion, I hope you enjoy your stay." I quickly added, remembering my manners.

Meh, it's up to you, but isn't Jessie meant to be in school right now? And would Joe remember Jessie? And if he does, he might have a different view on her now since he'll think of her as Vincent's child rather than Lilly's child (Since he can't remember Lilly and all.)

Ok ok, but Joe can't be allowed to remember Lilly or maybe even see Lilly again, just in case he falls in love with her again and the evil love triangle makes a reoccurance :S

“Thanks…” I’m unsure of what to do next. I stand there a bit think how to break the awkwardness. “I think should, maybe… could you show me around the mansion?” I don’t know where it came from, but I had said it, I couldn’t go back now. “I only really know where my room is, not much else.” That was true. I had no idea what the mansion actually had. Did it have a library? A conservatory? Anything? I still wasn’t sure if I could truly trust this man but I couldn’t go around being like his with everyone I meant here. I needed to make friends, or at least blend in.

"Of course I could." I replied, faking a smile for Rose - all my smiles seemed to be fake nowadays - before gesturing towards the mansion. "Shall we?" I led the way there and then started showing Rose around, starting outside with the pool, basketball court and garden which now displayed a beautiful fountain - I swear that wasn't there before - before heading inside showing her the living room, music room, recreational ('rec' for short) room, ballroom, dance hall and then finishing at the rather large kitchen. I pointed out the two fridges to Rose. "The one on the left is where the normal cold food is kept and the one in the right is full of bags of blood for vampires and such to drink." That might have been useful nformation to Rose if she was a vampire, which I wasn't sure of. In fact, I didn't have a clue what species of immortal creature she was... "If you don't mind my asking, what species are you?" I asked Rose out of curiosity.

What's going on?! What's your plan Britt?

Well~ Since Lilly and darkess are pretty much twins, Darkess can act like the mother of jessie. Since jessie has no dead give aways of her mom really being lilly
