Ryan whimpered again hearing that Joe wanted her to take Hope and basically give him space. She shook her head. "No.." She whispered. "I've lost you once already. I'm not doing it again." She said turning to face Joe and Hope.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find Emily Dickinson intriguing? I mean, I've read poetry before, but she's a bit harder to understand than the modern poet. I like the challenge, if it makes sense. Yeah.... Anyway, hey again guys

"But Ryan-" I shifted Hope into one arm so that I could rest my hand against Ryan's cheek. "I don't want you to get hurt. I don't want anyone to get hurt but I fear that things will get worse until that man gets his fight." If Ryan or Hope or even Kiara got hurt, if anyone who knew me personally, whether I remembered them or not, got hurt, I'd never forgive myself. I needed everyone to stay safe, especially my family. In a final attempt to persuade Ryan, I added, "What if he mistook Bentley for my own son and tried to harm him, hm? He might do that unless you keep your distance."

I can't believe he actually brought my son into this. I can't believe he would even try and say something like that when he almost took his life infront of me. I can't even think what space away from him would feel like. With his child staring me straight in the face. What happened if that man killed Joe for what he could have done in the past? How would Ryan take care of Hope and Bentley, with Kiara blaming me for everything. Hell no. No. There's No Way. "I'm not leaving." I finally mumbled.

I heaved a sigh, realising that there was no changing Ryan's mind, and also knowing that I would have to be extra careful to protect Ryan, Hope, Bentley and Kiara from this mad man. "Fine." I mumbled, pressing a kiss to Ryan's lips before lettig out a slight yawn. "I'm rather tired now, perhaps we should go to bed." I wanted to sleep in Ryan's room, though, I wanted us all to sleep in the same room so that the man wouldn't come for any member of my family.

I nodded and reached for the baby monitor that was on my belt loop. "Sounds like a plan."

Taking Ryan's hand with my free hand, we walked up to Ryan's room - Ryan, Hope and I. Ryan went to bid me goodnight with a kiss, but I stopped her. "Actually, may Hope and I sleep here for tonight? If not, I understand, I just... I'd feel more at ease being in the same room as you and Bentley tonight." Releasing Ryan's hand, I rubbed the back of my neck and looking down slightly; I swore I saw Hope looking at Ryan with pleading big brown eyes.

Chuckling slightly, I rolled my eyes and got in the taxi on the opposite side of Dilynn, making sure to get in the middle seat so that I could wrap and arm around. "I'm good for a lot of things, Dilynn, I'm just pretty much useless here. I told her, pressing a quick kiss to ger head before telling the taxi man where to go. As we started driving off, I gave Dilynn a real kiss.

"I know, I know, I just can't help it. I'm sorry." It wasn't jealousy - I knew that Sam would never fall for someone else - it was just... Protectiveness. Ever since I met Sam's mother and her friends I've been so determined to protect Sam from... Sexual predators that it's gotten to a point where if anyone flirted with him, I tried to put them off. Perhaps it was bad, but it was just something I couldn't seem to control. Sighing slightly, I let go of Sam and took a bite out of my sausage muffin and decided to change the subject. "So, our next destination is the park, hm? I can't wait to be able to run around such a beautiful area as a wolf." And I was looking forward to playing with Sam in wolf form but that sounded too childish to say.

In which case I'll go to bed now, goodnight all!

just got home, and it seems my headphones and 15 dollars has disappeared in one of my jeans pockets... if only i could remember where i actually put the jeans... or which ones they were. o.O

James had to admit. This girl was persistent. And rather intelligent. Perhaps he would tell her of the truth one day. If she came back with proof that he lied. If she could prove what was going on here he would confirm it, even if that day was today. He hoped not however. He was tired today and feeling sick once more.

"I believe you understand us. Yes, there are those that live here that are sick, but others are perfectly capable. Some have criminal records and don't want to attempt to find another home to live in. We offer cheap boarding and food, not to mention medical services." James could see this story going downhill but didn't see a way to stop it. For just a moment he glanced at Caius, letting how tired he was show on his face. It was covered in another second and he was looking at Sydney again.

"We do the best to care for the forest and town that we can but we can't be responsible for all of our residents and those who have something against them. I am sure you can understand." James' fingers wove together on top of the table and he leaned forward, staring directly into her eyes. "We are not the reason for the troubles in this town."

Jenna just laughed a bit. Not only was Vladimir comparing men to money but he was saying love was a part of life. She found it somewhat comforting, though, that he believed there was someone for everyone. Jeremy had been her someone though... But maybe there would be others one day. "Thanks, Vlad - I hope it's ok if I call you that. But I don't really think I need someone. I mean, I don't want to get attached. I want to be able to move on and grow and change however I want." Maybe one day Jenna would find someone who would just be a casual lover and would be ok with her moving on to someone else. She wouldn't need to worry about hurting or losing them then.

It was only a month after the father and son had met for the first time and already they had left Will's home. Kirk had never learned to fly so Will was trying to teach him now. But it was slow work at best. Despite all the big talk the kid was actually pretty scared of taking risks, like jumping off of buildings. It was completely safe of course, the wings would catch him and if not Will would save him.

Sure, the 26 year old man was still unhappy about being a father but he'd protect the kid. He felt it was his job. Plus Kirk had no where else to go and he'd feel bad abandoning him. "Are you sure you know where this place is? Or even that it exists? It doesn't does it? You made us leave the apartment on an untrue rumor," Kirk complained. He talked a lot. It drove Will insane. He was used to living on his own. In silence.

"It's real, ok?" He hoped anyways... They'd been wondering around the town and nearby woods for a while now, bags on their backs.

"I'm hungry."

Seriously? "Just shut up. I'm sure we're almost there." The boy rolled his eyes but did as he was told. At least Kate didn't raise him horribly wrong.

Will turned out to be right and in just over 10 minutes the stumbled upon the back of the mansion. "Sweet!" Kirk exclaimed with a laugh. In a second the backpack was off his back and on the grass, his shirt was pulled off and floating to the ground, and his poorly-wrapped bandages were unravelling and falling down. His wings wriggled free of their wrappings and he began flapping them to try to get air.

"Hey! Kid! Get back here!" Will said, rolling his shoulder like he would to bring out his wings but they were too bound to come free. Whatever. Kirk wouldn't even be able to get off the ground. Well, he did a little and William had to admit he was impressed. It wasn't long before he tumbled back to the ground though. "Just get back here. I'm not carrying your shit."

Kirk grumbled something the older man couldn't hear and came back to get his stuff. Will just kept walking towards the entrance and when he got there he knocked. Someone better answer...

Paisley's gonna open the door for them, but sorry if the pair doesn't make sense. just woke up from a 'nap'. -_- *sigh* I'm not sleeping tonight...

Paisley Liddell; Roaming aimlessly around the mansion, Paisley's thoughts flickered to her sister's childhood quest to find the white rabbit. There had only been a short part of her childhood. that was spent with her older sister, due to Paisley's kidnapping at the age of ten, which later led to her schizophrenia and vampirism. She had always kept that spark of imagination that Alice had implanted in her mind, and that is what got her through the hardest of times. She had cherished that always, and she still cherished it today.

She made her way through the halls, walking down each set of stairs until she was at ground level. A sudden knock caught her ears, and she turned to the direction of the noise. 'Was that the door? Or was it the window? Could the white rabbit be at the mansion this very instant?' She wondered to herself as a small smile surfaced on her face. This is what she loved most about life - it always kept her wondering, and wondering kept the mind healthy. Though, sometimes she knew what she was wondering couldn't be true, like now. She knew it couldn't be the white rabbit, because he followed Alice around and not her. Which is what made her curious to find out who was at the door.

After hearing the knocks again, she approached the door in a cautious way, leaning on her toes to peer through the peephole of the door. Seeing that it was just a guy and a kid, she grabbed the handle and pulled the door open, wearing a friendly smile across her lips. "Hello." She said up to the man, and she looked down at the boy, "And hello to you too."

James had gotten tired so quickly, and it worried me. Maybe James was ill? Although I hadn't gotten in centuries, so in theory James shouldn't either. What if, whatever this was, was life threatening? No, I should not think like that, it would make me panic and when I panic, everything falls to pieces. Sneakily placing a hand on James' back and rubbing it, I spoke to Sydney, trying to get rid of her so that James could rest. "I'm afraid we have a very important meeting scheduled and the person will arrive at any minute, so I must ask that you leave now. If you have any more questions, perhaps we can schedule another date for you to talk with us?"
((New idea for making Caius sit on James lap in front of Sydney: Caius escorts Sydney outside then returns and sits on James' lap, snuggling into him and not realising that Sydney had snuck back in, followed him, and is peeking through the door.))
