James had some things to do before going to Marias. Such as take a shower, clean his room for no reason at all and get a small cup of some Ice tea from the cafe. He made his way to Maria's aparment and on his way, he seen someone suspecious and he instantly went and hid on the side of the building where the fire escape was. Peeking from the corner, he watched as the man turned his head to reveal a golden lilly before he finally walked off "What the hell?" he said before managing to climb up to the fire escape stairs and make his way up to Maria's apartment. He then knocked on the window, when he peeked in, he seen Maria, hopefully she'd hear him at the window knocking.

My date for prom is starting pitcher and they're in the finals and their semi final is tomorrow but it's supposed to thunderstorm and if it gets cancelled it's getting rescheduled for during prom

I had been so submerged in my work that I jumped in my seat. Luckily, I didn't knock over the coffee, otherwise that would have been a nightmare! Setting the laptop down, I went to answer the door... Only to find no one there... Odd... A prank, maybe? But the people around here were adults, not little kids. Perhaps I was hallucinating. I rolled my eyes at myself, then returned to the coffee table, taking a sip from the mug. The coffee was freezing cold by now, causing my to wince at the disgusting taste. Yeah, I was going to need to make another one. It wasn't until I got into the kitchen that I discovered the knocking sound, and jumped for the second time today. "James?" I rushed over setting my coffee mug down before opening the window for him and trying not to think about how he was going to get shoe marks all over my counters now. "What the heck are you doing out there?!"

"Why dont you ask your little Alchemist buddy?" he said jokingly as he slid through, trying not to get his shoes on the counter in the process "There was someone outside the building and I had no choice but to use the fire escape." standing before her, he cupped her face gently and kissed her lips softly before pulling his lips from hers "I hope no one ratted us out. And I hope no one found out." he was worried for her. "I made sure the guy left though so I got here without being followed up." why was he out there anyway? Was he just patroling? No..He was right in front of the door to the apartment building.

there had been an Alchemist outside?! Sure, I'd asked for advice but that wasn't a reason to show up here! My heartbeat sped up a little, so much so that I strggled to hear James over the deafening sound. We were so close to being caught. I was so close to being sent to re-education. People who went to re-education were never the same when they came out, and losing myself was the last thing I ever wanted to happen. It took a moment to snap out of my panicked trance, but once I did, I responded with a, "Right... Well.... Make yourself at home." before I rolled down the blind to cover the kitchen window, my need for coffee long forgotten.

James seen some of the fear that went on her face "I always will." he said before adding "I mean, I always make myself at home." he wanted to at least make her feel safe. When she turned, he pulled her into a hug and kissed her head "Holt, if its really bad, why dont you come to my place? its more safe in a way.." he told her, looking down at her "I can see that you're afraid." he didnt want her to be scared but he couldnt blame her for being afriad of going to re-education(Fak sorry DX)

"Your place?!" My voice came out as an involuntary squeak. "Your place is worse! You live in that- that den of monsters, I can't-" That was even more terrifying than a possible Alchemist spy, I mean, my whole life I'd been told of the dangers of the supernatural so to go to a place that had a large frequency of them... That was insane! Leaning into James, I shook my head into his shirt, wrapping my arms around his waist. "Can we just... Go somewhere else?" I mumbled, glancing up at him as best as I could in this position. "We could escape the town. Get a hotel room somewhere remote. Somewhere the Alchemists can't bother us." That sounded like a less scary plan to me.

Okay so suggesting his place made things a bit more crazy. Maria hated the sound of going there and so, she suggested a hotel. "Okay okay. I guess we can take a trip out and get a hotel room." he wrapped his arms around her, hugging her "when do you want to do this? I was thinking today." he chuckled "We can wait though." hopefully she'd want to go now since now they were possibly on the edge of being busted.
