He was just an awful hu-" I stopped mid sentence as Austin walked through the door. I just kind of sat there on my bed with my mouth half open. He still couldn't see Nate, could he? Maybe I had gone mad. "Gosh, how rude! We're having a conversation here boy!" I rolled my eyes, knowing full well that Austin wouldn't have seen or hard him. Great. I looked like a lunatic. Goodbye friendship. "Uhh... Yeah... Absolutely perfect, what makes you ask?" 'Oh that was smooth, Ebbs.' I had to keep myself from telling Nate to shut up.

I'm kinda imagining Nate as Pete Wentz for some reason XD

"Ummm... Well..." How was I supposed to put this? I didn't want her to get mad but she was kind of having a conversation with herself by herself... Wait. What was she saying when I walked in? was her father an alcoholic? God I was so stupid. Of course that's why she had gotten upset with me earlier... It definitely made sense now. I shoke my head and walked over to her, picking her up off the bed and pulling her into a hug, holding her close to me. "I'm sorry Ebony." I couldn't think of what else to say. I had probably terrified her... I squeezed her tight and buried my head into her shoulder, completely forgetting about the idea of her being slightly crazy.

I know, I'm just worried she'll get too attached to those gloves and never want to take them off, I mean, if you could see Elsa when she grew up wearing gloves... I don't want Luna to go down the same path :/

Ebony: The hug had come as a surprise, but as he apologised I just... I felt safer already. I could feel myself crying. Damnit! I hugged him back tightly, hiding my face in his shirt... Wait... He wasn't wearing one. I started to laugh a little and pulled away. "Where the hell is your shirt?" I asked as I used the heel of my hand to wipe my eyes and get rid of my tears. It was then that I realised that Nate had just... Vanished. He was there not a minute ago and now he wasn't. Ugh. Perhaps I really was crazy...

I frowned as she started to cry and when she pulled back I looked at her. "Hey shortie.. It's alright. I'm not going to hurt you alright? I just want you to know that. And if you don't want me to drink again I wont. I won't drink around you ever again." I helped her wipe her tears and chuckled, blushing slightly after realizing I indeed wasn't wearing a shirt. "Well... You see..." I ran my hand through my hair. "I may have accidentally exploded a blood bag, sending blood all down my shirt and basically all over my room. You might not wanna go in there until I clean it. Looks like I killed someone."

Ebony: His explanation just caused me to laugh even more. "Uh, we're such a pair of dorks." I nudged him playfully, "I'm so emotionally damaged that I'm slowly going insane and you somehow manage to get blood everywhere." I rolled my eyes but started smiling. "Sorry, by the way, you know... If I ruined your night." I frowned a little at the thought that I had made his night pretty bad. I guess I had that effect sometimes. I quickly thought about changing the subject, "You know, I've never actually been in your room... What are you hiding in there?" I teased.

"You're not going insane Ebony. I know what insane lookalike. Though what exactly was that when I walked in?" I raised an eyebrow at her. "Well I mean you don't have to tell me if you don't want to. I'll respect your decision. But, you didn't ruin my night either shortie alright? You could never ruin my night." I smirked when she brought up my room. "Oh you know a few dead bodies, a huge stack of porn magazines, drugs, the usual" I rolled my eyes. "But in all seriousness nothing really, it's a bit messy. And I don't want to sound like a jerk but normally the only reason girls go in there is cause we're gonna you know so...."

Mhmm. We've gotta work super hard at this time of the year to pay or nice this for our families. I guess in Jack's case, though, it's more along the lines of 'I've got to work super hard otherwise I'll mess up the world's weather even more and I'll be to blame for global warming'. I kinda get what Jack's going through, though; it's tough to balance duty and loved ones.

Jack wont be busy in summer, or maybe even Spring. *Shrugs.* But don't worry about Luna much, even though Jack's busy she's just as happy to spend time with you. As long as there's cookies involved. *Chuckles.*

She loves you for caring about her and, like you said, being somene she can trust, along with being the mother she deserves and should've had while growing up.
