*smiles at his touch, still getting goosebumps thoubh* Hmm... Sometimes I did, though when defending Helms Deep and fighting off Orcs in Gondor it was hard not to be focussed on the battle at hand *smirks* I bet you were ever so lonely without me.

Oh, definitely. I didn't have any battles to wage so I was left to read poetry from a long time ago. Just word battles, that's all. *notices the goosebumps and leans in, pressing a kiss to her cheek.* I'm glad you enjoyed yourself this weekend though.

Maybe I'll just go ahead and hop into that idea. That way I'll be able to understand all the LOTR talk. *shrugs his shoulders and looks down at their hands* I heard they're a long read though, but I figure if I can read ancient poetry I can deal with it.

Elvish? That's interesting... *smirks and lays across the couch, his head in her lap though he still held her hand* Your not going to learn elvish though, are you? I prefer understanding my girlfriend, and that would make it quite difficult.

I took a semester of Latin in college, but I can't make anything of the random words I learned. That's all though... *reaches a hand upwards and tucks a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear* If you can't talk in French that's okay, kissing in French is better. *chuckles*

Daniel: Yes! So far so good, he was fine having dinner with me, and maybe after we've let our dinner settle a little, I can have a dance with Caius in the ballroom. I took his hand, but then led him into the kitchen, where we were greeted by an eager looking Candi. "Good evening, I'll be your waitress for the night, I do believe there's a table reserved for you." Oh gosh... I hadn't expected this. Not at all! I went a little red, following after Caius who had already began to follow Candi to a table, which was set with a red tablecloth, a rose in a vase as the centre piece. The cream coloured napkins felt silky, and had been embroidered with our name where we were sat. "... Wow..." I whispered under my breath. I snapped out of my trance and pulled out Caius' chair for him.

"Oh wow..." Oh wow indeed. The invitation with the rose, the red and cream tableware, the romantic atmosphere... This had to be a date, there could be no denying it now! Of course, I had feeling for Daniel, but I had never expected them to be reciprocated and now... I could feel the blush creeping up onto my cheeks as I took my place, stuttering out a quick, "Th-Thank you." To Daniel who had pulled the chair out for me. In an attempt to distract myself while the redness in my cheeks subsided, my fingers traced my embroidered name on the silky-textured napkin - it was satin, actually, I had been around fabrics long enough to know that this was satin. 'Come on, Caius,' I thought to myself as I took a deep breath, 'This is not the first date you have been on, so stop acting like a fool!' It had been such a surprise, though; I honestly was not expecting this. Feeling the heat die down in my cheeks, I lifted my gaze to Daniel and smirked at him, trying to keep the mood light and rid both of us of nerves. "Well, this is rather extravagant for 'Just a meal between friends', is it not?" My tone of voice hinted that, in fact, I knew that this was more than a mere meal between friends, and my smirk was replaced with a soft smile as I added, "I love it. You have clearly put in a lot of effort with the décor to make this meal seem special, and I'm sure Miss Candi's cooking will only make this evening even more special."
