Well, today was the day! Well, one of the days - who knew there'd be so many important days during pregnancy, huh? We hadn't even told the old man yet, even though I was clearly showing now with a beachball for a stomach rather than my sexy, skinny self and to be honest I was surprised no one had told him - if he had known he probably would have come to our house yelling by now - but he could probably wait a bit longer to here the news, since today we found out some other important news, am I gonna be outnumbered by boys, or have an additional girl on the girl team? Chekov had promised to look after Toby for the day, the appointment was scheduled for 11:30am and it was currently 11. And for some reason I was kinda nervous about it, which was why I was pacing back and forth in the bedroom while Hayden got dressed - I swear if the floor was carpet, not tatami mats, I would've created enough static electricy to power all of Wutai by now! "What if there's something not right with it?" I asked Hayden, trying to get to the root of my worries. "What if it's deformed or has a crazily big head or something? What if the thing that hasn't formed properly is it's private parts so it's neither a girl nor boy? What would happen then?!" Thinking about it, I realised how messed up that would make our child's life. Unsure whether they're straight or homosexual because they're neither gender, unsure whether to be called sir or miss, unsure which public bathroom to go in... Life would be a nightmare! "We have to make sure the private parts aren't disfigured! Our child needs to know whether it's a boy or girl when it grows up!"

Hayden: Part way into Yuffie'sirrational worrying Hayden had given up with getting dressed, and was now sat on the bed propped up on his hands, his abandoned t-shirt slung over his shoulder, observering her, caught somewhere between amusement and worry. His eyes traveled back and forth in time with her pacing, occasionally flickering down to the bump which was their child, wondering if getting his girlfriend's head checked out whilst they were at the hospital would do he or she any harm. He suspected that whilst worrying about their childs health was natural, worrying about whether their private parts were deformed was not. Only Yuffie could have thoughts only them lines that left her on the verge of a panic attack. She was seriously worried about this. Falling back onto humour in an attempt to calm her, he grabbed her hand as she went to pass him again and gently pulled her closer until she slotted between his legs. Bringing his hands up to rest on either side of the bump, he leant in so that his lips almost brushed against it before he began talking to his child, feeling slightly ridiculous whilst doing so. "I think your mums going a bit crazy, worrying over silly things the way she is. Hopefully that's not a trait you'll pick up on, poor old dad can only handle so muchof it." Yuffie could hear every word he was saying, so he glanced up and smirked at her, his arms slipping around her back. "Besides there's no way it's privates can be deformed, it is our child after all." He added, his smirk growing. Humour and suggestive comments, if that didn't calm her down nothing will until she saw the scan herself.

*rolling around on the floor again* Are you going to do this every night? I don't know. Probably. *shrugs* Oh okay. Why are you doing this again? I'm not quite sure. It makes me feel better in some ways... So yeah. Ahh... Okay. In what ways? I'm not exactly sure, it makes me feel happier, like I can just hit life straight in the face and watch it suffer... o.O bit extreme? Yeah, very :/ but hey, I'm in one of those moods. What a change, huh? Hayden was usually the worrying one and I was usually the one making jokes to relax him and now look at us. Still, despite the fact that it sometimes backfired when joking around Hayden, it didn't backfire on me. Giving a slight roll of my eyes when Hayden talked to the baby in my tummy about me going crazy. I stuck my tongue out at him, then laughed at Hayden's last comment. "I guess you have a point there, that part of our child can't go wrong with us as parents, especially if it's a boy." I winked at Hayden, feeling myself relaxed has I casually joked about his privates - even though it wasn't a joke, more of... A fact said in a lighthearted jokey way. Taking a deep breath, my eyes wandered to the clock for the 10th time in the past 5 minutes and then looked back to Hayden, my hands slowly drifting down to his amazing torso, tracing the contours of his abs and then- I paused myself before I could get sidetracked. Leaning down ever so slightly to kiss the top of Hayden's head. "As much as I love seeing you topless, I don't think the doctor would appreciate, so you better hurry up and get changed." Pausing for a moment, my mind drifted off to the possible problems again and I frowned slightly. "What if there is something wrong with the baby, though? I mean, there shouldn't be anything wrong really, but what would we do if there was?"
