Why do you feel the need to tell them? If you aren't comfortable with telling them then don't. Wait until you are comfortable and know you won't regret it and back down.

I did it. Mum seems ok, dad's kinda silent.

And I did feel ready to tell them and stuff, it was just nerves and everyone gets nervous. *Shrugs.* I just felt like the best way to deal with the nerves was to just push through it and do it. I don't regret doing it, I'm just concerned about dad's sudden silence.

But yeah, dad's quiet anyway but his silence when I came out was a little unnerving. On the plus side mum was like 'Ok. Do you have a girlfriend?' XD I was just like 'No, mum, in case you haven't noticed I'm not exactly dating material!'

Dad seriously wont talk to me. He just shhed me when I was talking to mum - while an advert for a random show was on, so I wasn't disrupting anything - and then I asked him what his problem was TWICE and he wouldn't answer me. On top of this, he has a permanent scowl on his face. He's making me feel like I've done something to anger him and if I have - if he's mad at me for coming out or something... Gosh, I just don't know what to do. I'm probably overreacting but at the same time I might not be and... F***, I didn't do anything wrong, but he's making me feel like I did.
