I thought for a moment, thinking about her suggestion. It was a really good idea, something only most fathers could wish for. All they wanted to do was protect their babies. "Sounds like a good idea. But you might wanna get him something to take his mind of his kid too, give him a little break." I thought for a moment and then pulled two small slips of paper from my leather jacket pocket. "Here. Give him these too. I was supposed to go with a buddy of mine but he can't make it and I'm not going alone. Plus all guys like hockey." They were two hockey tickets for next Saturday. My friend zak had cancelled last minute, he had to work. Being a trainer and all I could definitely understand why he was busy.

"I don't like jack!"

Taking the pieces of paper, I looked down at them, then raised an eyebrow at Austin. "Really, are you sure about this?" I wasn't a sports fanatic, so I knew very little about hockey, but I did know that tickets to any sort of event were expensive nowadays so I was a little aprehensive about taking the tickets from the vampire, allowing him to waste his money by giving the tickets to someone he didn't even know. It was generous, almost too generous, and I worried that he would regret not selling the tickets and getting his money back.

I nod, it wasn't a big deal to me, but then again nothing really was anymore. "I have no use for them and it's too late to return them or find someone else to go. I'll think of it as my good deed for the day, how's that? That way you don't feel guilty about taking them. Besides it'll give him time to spend with his daughter and have fun. I don't know much about being a single father but I imagine it would be extremely difficult. And expensive." Thorn sure made a big deal of things. She should learn to relax more, just go with the flow.

Ryker: In an effort to put my degree to good use, I took a job at the University in the neighboring town. Yeah, I know, it's a lot to deal with. Who would've thought I'd get a job, especially teaching the minds of our future generations. As a result, I was now spending time studying Shakespeare and trying to understand some of the things Aristotle stated, which is a chore in itself. One I couldn't handle without a drink, but I wouldn't allow myself to jump back on that horse. Perhaps I could find another means of distraction? Leah and I haven't been seriously hanging out, but I was definitely up for changing that. After reading a chapter of shakespeare sonnets I decided that visiting her was a good idea, and so that's where I was. Standing outside her door, clad in dark jeans and a blue hoodie, having already knocked once and waiting for her answer. Perhaps I should've called first... But I didn't know her number so that wasn't possible. Maybe I should've just waited for her to come to me? I was already past that now, so I couldn't think about change.

"Ok then, as long as you're sure." I placed the tickets in my pocket, drinking more tea and wincing as it was now cold and absolutely disgusting in taste. I pushed the mug away from me as I forced myself to swallow the liquid that had already entered my mouth. "I think that the tickets would make a good joint present, but what about a present for hims daughter? I've never had to shop for a kid but I'm guessing a doll or stuffed animal would do?"

"Yea that present should be fine for him." I raised an eye at her as she pushed the tea cup away. "Bad tea? Well anyway, as for the girl I'd imagine a stuffed animal or some sort of you would be fine. Stuffed animal might be a safer present though because not all girls like dolls." I chuckled, recalling a memory of my sister Alex. She hated dolls. She used to cut off their hair and color on them. She was an odd girl.

*Head perks up* Have you seen anything about my dad yet? Mikhail's brother? *Grins.* There's a book about Genesis's parents as well. I don't like reading those books. -_- Because they fade to much and ehh... don't really need to read that. And Mikhail is my dad. >_< Not Josh's. :3 Rub it in will ya? -_- *Glares at Klain and smirk.* At least Abby's taking an interest in my son's species. Wait until she reads about the Jaguar species.
