Vincent gave Lilly a quick kiss in return and then closed his eyes, clearing his thoughts so that he could try and cheer up a little bit. When Vincent opened his eyes again, crimson stared into brown and got lost as he gazed.

"Uhhh... Yeah, I could do with some help." I didn't really need help, but I was getting tired of Marlene's constant teasing about my lack of cooking skills. Maybe if Tifa helped, Marlene would keep quiet.

"Yay! Now we'll have nice food instead dangerous food." Marlene giggled, sticking her tongue out playfully at Cloud.

Denzel looked at Tifa with indecision in his eyes. He needed to talk to her sometime tonight, but should he? He needed help and Tifa was the only one he knew could help - Cloud too, but he thought that Tifa would know more than Cloud does on this one subject... But he was too shy to talk about it... Maybe he should just drop it...

When I got to Hayden's room, I just paused in the doorway, taking in Toby's expressions and body language. Man, this nightmare must've been terrible! Toby was a wreck! Closing the door behind me, I walked towards Toby and Hayden with hesitant steps before I was kneeling next to Haydie's lap, looking up at Toby. "Toby, it's not real, ok? Whatever it was isn't real, so there's no need to be scared." Boy was I c*** at this! I was going to go in with my cheery personality, pick the kid up and bounce him around a little until he was happy, but he was just too frightened for that! His fear required then gentle approach, and I sucked at that. Where's Tifa when you need her???

angel: "2 it is then!" chuckled nd made 2 then put them on a plate along with 3 pieces of bacon and 2 toast.yummy corse meal "bon appitite" he chuckled and placed the plate in front of her and then made himself the same thing sitting next to her

lilly: i seen him look into my eyes and got lost,i giggled a bit and looked into his,so much to know about him.

tifa: she looked at denzel "whats wrong denzel?" she walked over to him and sat next to him on one of the stools.

Toby: I took some deep breaths, trying to calm down. It was real though. It seemed so real. Like it was something that I'd known then forgotten somehow. I looked up at Haydie tears still falling down my cheeks. "I-it was real wasnt it?"

Hayden: I met his gaze. An hesitantly nodded. "yeah it was" I pulled him closer. I thought it had only worn off a little. But I was wrong. He remembered. I squeezed my eyes shut, and buried my head in his hair. why did it wear off? It was supposed to last at least another couple of years.

Renn: I smiled. "thanks" I tucked in. I didn't need to tell angel his good it was because it was always good.

Renn: once I'd finished I took my plate over to the sink. Then went to the fridge and got the orange juice out. I couldn't be bothered to get a glass out so I drank from the carton.

A smile slowly lifted up the corners of Vincent's mouth and he kissed Lilly again before pulling her into a hug. "I love you Lilly." He whispered into her ear.

I looked over too Tifa and Denzel, and it looked like they were having a private conversation, so I decided to distract Marlene. "Ok then, if my cooking's that bad, you show me how it's done."

Marlene giggled a little and then said "Okey dokey." Before going over to the mushrooms Cloud had been slicing and finishing them off, Cloud keeping an eye on the 8 year old.

Denzel looked down at his hands which were clasped together in his lap, trying to pluck up the courage to talk to Tifa. "There's this... This girl. And she invited my to the cinema... On a date... I think... I'm not sure whether I should go or not..."

Wait, what was real? Oh... C***... He was remembering when his parents tried to kill him, wasn't he? I looked up at Hayden, trying to ask the question through my eyes in case saying it out loud made Toby's crying even worse.

Renn: I had one last mouthful, then pu I back in the fridge. I didn't answer him I just stuck my tongue out at him. He was just jealous because I could get away with it because i was pregnant, but he couldn't.

Hayden: I nodded at yuffie. "then memory spell wore off" I murmered. I was so frustrated with myself. the most important spell I've ever casted, and I was the only one I f***** up. I was the worst brother knthe world. If I couldn't even protect him from the past how was I supposed to protect him in the future.

lilly: i smiled and i hugged him back "i love you too,vincent" after a while of hugging i pulled away and decided to kiss him for a while,to get our minds off things.my hands placed on his cheeks as i kissed him,my eyes slid closed

The look in Hayden's eyes reminded me of the look everyone saw in Cloud's eyes almost every day. The look of a failure, of someone who hated himself for not being able to look after his family. Hayden was beating himself up about this inside his head and it showed in his face... It... It scared me... I reached out and placed and hand on Hayden's own hand, comforting as I talked to Toby. "Toby, we promise that it will never happen to you again. I wont let it happen and Haydie certainly wont either. We're going to keep you safe. As the princess of Wutai, and as a friend, I swear that they wont get anywhere near you."

"Just me." Denzel replied, wringing his hands a little at the thought of going on a date. "I think she likes me but... I don't know whether I like her or not."

Because of my enhanced hearing, I couldn't help but hear Denzel and Tifa's conversation, and it made me smile to know that a girl had a crush on Denzel. He was such a shy kid and it was good that he was going to start socialising with someone other than his family. Maybe I should do the same as him.

Once Marlene finished with the mushrooms, she then started peeling and cutting the potatoes into fry-shapes, talking to Cloud about how to do each little step.

Vincent closed his eyes and kissed Lilly back, bringing his human hand up behind Lilly's neck and wrapping the clawed hand around Lilly's waist, pulling her closer to him as he leaned back into the couch a little more.

Vincent felt Lilly press against him more and deepened the kiss in responsee, running his clawed hand up and down Lilly's back carefully, trying not to scratch her.
