But Strigoi aren't your entire life, and yet you still don't smile even when you're away from them. I mean, when was the last time you smiled at Abby? All you seem to do is yell at her nowadays, but you two used to be able to smile and have fun together... Abby blames you becoming a Dhampir - she says that being a Dhampir took away the Rose she knew and cared about - but I don't think it's just the species switch, I feel like there's something else that's up...

If there's nothing to smile about you should make something to smile about. Maybe plan a shopping trip like in the good old days, or go to the theme park? Something during the daytime so you don't even have to worry about Strigoi, you can just focus on having fun.
