Well, she is pretty lovely. I'm about five and a half, I think. *shrugs and keeps her hand on her stomach, entertained with the feeling of Valeriya.* Thats what four older brothers are for. "I guess not..." I looked back at him. "Thanks for staying Ace. Really. I was so afraid that you were going to just up and leave and leave me with the baby..." And honestly I have no idea what I'd do with a half vampire kid. I'd have no idea what to expect or how I would take care of him or her." I hugged him. It looked like we were going to be parents. I wasn't sure if I was ready to be one, but I was sure he was thinking the same thing as I was right now. As for us being together, I just didn't know... Would we even work together? Was it worth trying? It could make for an awkward situation for us later if we broke up...

"If you could take care of the blood that would be great. Thank you. I mean I'm not bad with blood but I'd prefer if you took care of that part. I wouldn't know where to get it anyway." It felt odd talking about this, just having a supernatural baby. A feel weeks ago I didn't even know supernaturals existed. But now, living at the mansion with do many different supernaturals, it would be odd, not having people like that around. Suddenly I realized something. I would continue aging. Ace and the baby wouldn't... Well... That wasn't something to worry about right now...

"Well look at you, Hopey! You're such a beautiful little Princess!" I told my little sister as she did a twirl for Dad, Arthur and I. And Snowball, of course. 'Thank you!' She grinned as she turned to face me. 'You look really pretty, too.' I looked down at myself and smiled sadly. I guess she was right - this historic dress did look pretty good on me - it was just a shame that there was no one here to appreciate it, well, no man my age, anyway. Not that I felt like I needed a man to appreciate me, because look how well that turned out last time, huh? 'She's right, Kiara, you look stunning. Just like a fairytale Princess.' My dad spoke up, probably because he could see the sadness in my smile. I wouldn't take what I felt was a pity compliment, though, so I just asked, "Are you sure you're ok dog-sitting? I know how much you wanted to go..." 'I'll be fine. No matter how much we want it, some things just aren't meant to be.' Somehow I felt we weren't even talking about the ball anymore, and the sorrow reflected into my father's eyes confirmed that. As much as I knew that this would happen to him again - to all of us - I still found myself feeling sorry for my dad, and feeling sorry that I fell for Ryan's empty promises just as much as he did. The sadness in the air was too much for me, and certainly too much for Hope, so I cut the conversations short with an, "Ok, lets go. See ya, dad!" And left the room with Hope, blinking back tears as I made my way to the ballroom. I couldn't cry tonight, I had to remain happy - on the outside, if not on the inside - for my little sister's sake.

Kiara and Hope's outfits:

Right now, I had no idea what was going on. All of a sudden, yesterday, as I was trying to teach Daniel how to ride a horse - I had received permission from Anna to use Bjartr and the Queen's horse, Fridr - he rhad... Asked me on a date, I believe. He did not specify it as such, however he said to dress in a suit, so one could only assume that he was taking me to a fancy dinner of sort. My stomach had butterflies, believe it or not, because apart from my assumptions, I didn't know what Daniel had planned. He even gave strict instructions not to leave my apartment until he came to get me, for crying out loud! Nevertheless, despite my nerves, I was sure that whatever happened would be romantic, as Daniel had quite a knack for creating romantic moments. I just hoped that he would hurry up soon so that I could cease my pacing across the wooden floor.

Caius' outfit:

The soft ochestral music lured me into the ballroom before I even had a chance to meet up with Chloe. Despite this, though, I was enjoying myself, listening contently to the music. It wasn't until I realised that more people were coming in that I finally decided to look for Chloe. To be honest, it wasn't hard to find her in that bright orange dress, which I was actually thankful about, so within a few minutes of searching, I walked right over to her and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey Chloe, nice dress!" Ok, so maybe orange wasn't my thing, but it was clearly her thing so, you know, whatever made her happy.

Thorn's outfit:

"Hmm... I think I remember how to do it, though it's been years since I've had to do a bow tie so bear with me." I told my gorgeous husband as I took the bow tie from Sam and wrapped it around his neck. I'll admit that it took a couple attempts, but with each attempt the memories returned and eventually I was able to remember how to do it. "There you go." I told Sam was I fixed his collar, stepping back to gaze at the godly sight of Samuel in a tux. Seriously, I could go on for hours about how handsome he looked, but instead I decided to keep it short and sweet, for the sake of the time. "You look amazing, Sam. Really. You should wear a tux more often because the sight is definitely swoon-worthy." With a grin, I pressed my lips to his, then moved around my own personal Adonis to reach my mask and put it on. "The only issue with you in a tux, actually, is that you're so swoon-worthy that I may have to keep girls away from you all evening." I added with a smirk, though a part of me was actually worried. I know that we were married now and Sam would never go off with another girl anyway, but old habits die hard, you know?

So it was the hair that was taking up all the time! I felt like telling Tucker 'I told you so!' but I was too distracted by my girlfriend in her cute prom-like dress. "Well, darlin', I dunno about me, but I think you look amazing!" She really did - mint green really suited Dilynn - I just wished that I had picked out a mint green tie and mask, too. The one time I didn't pay attention to a women and not only did it result in us wearing different colors, but opposite colors. Boy did I learn my lesson! Pushing Tucker off of my lap, I stood up and brushed the fur for my suit before taking Dilynn's hand and making her do a little twirl so that I could see her in the dress from every angle. Once she was facing me again, though, I couldn't help but give her a sheepish smile. "Sorry about not matching, though, I guess my mind was someplace else at the time. I promise next time, though, I'll try to search for a mint green tie. Not sure how successful I'll be at finding one, but it'll be worth a shot, right?"

Maybe Sammi was right, maybe Chloe had other stuff going on too,, but stuff she wasn't telling her best friend about? I thought women were into all that 'Telling your best friend everything that's bothering you' c***. Maybe this was just another complicated woman thing, so I decided to let it slide as the music came to end. I couldn't help but chuckle at Sammi's curtsy, replying with a gentlemanly bow and even a kiss to her hand, just to add to stupidly formal stuff. "You're welcome. It was a pleasure to dance with with, babe." I smirked as I straightened up, looking behind Sammi at the large tables of food and drink. "Now, Miss Phoenix, would you care to join me in drinking some wine and stuffing our faces with fancy food?" Apart from seeing Sammi dressed up really pretty and trying to be more romantic, the fancy food and the alcohol were probably the only reasons why I came to this ball tonight.

As soon as I saw Nathalie's dress, my jaw dropped and I let out an involuntary, "Wow..." Seriously, though, that dress alone looked amazing, and with Nat wearing it, the view was even better. "You look... Wow..." And then I looked at myself and, as much as I liked this outfit, it suddenly seemed out of place. "Oh geez, I, uh, I was expecting you to wear something old fashioned, too. If I knew you'd wear a modern dress, I would've dressed up modern too. Sorry Nat, really." Now I'd look stupid next to her, but instead of seeming annoyed by it, when I looked back up at my date for the evening, she was smirking at me. Weird. "What's with the smirk?" I asked her confusedly, looking down at myself again to make sure there wasn't something on my outfit. "Is something up? Is something funny?"

That'd be an interesting sight, huh? I guessed Cat hadn't really flirted with everyone, especially with her strict, douchebag parents. At this I nudged her playfully, trying to keep it gentle so that I didn't make her fall down the stairs. "Hey, it's worth a shot, right? And besides, you might be a natural at flirting, you just don't know it yet." Even if she wasn't a natural at flirting, I bet she'd find a guy by the end of the night, I mean, she was a pretty girl in a pretty dress, what teenaged boy with raging hormones wouldn't want to be with her? Aaanyway, once we reached the ballroom, I took a moment to take in the atmosphere. The place looked pretty damn awesome, maybe a bit to formal for my liking, but I was sure it was right up Caius' street, so he'd love it. Turning my attention to Cat, I gestured between the food tables and the dancefloor. "So, do you wanna load up on sugar first, or do you wanna try and teach me how to dance first? Unless you can't dance either, in which case I guess we're both screwed, right?"

"Woah me? Woah you, Kyle! Have you looked in the mirror?" I replied to my boyfriend's shocked look with an equally shocked look. I had seen Kyle in a suit before, at Dayna's wedding and at Bex's wedding, but that was last year and the memories were a little fuzzy, but now... Woah, he looked so handsome when he was dressed up, and even manlier, if that was even possible! "Sorry about showing up early, though, I just couldn't be bothered to wait any longer to see you dressed up, and I couldn't be bothered to just sit in my room for 5 minutes either." I couldn't even stop smiling! Aaah, this was so exciting!!! For a moment, I pulled Kyle into a kiss by the collar of his jacket, hoping that a kiss would calm me down but when I felt my tail wagging under my dress - gosh, that must've looked weird! - I knew that it wasn't working, so I just gave in and grabbed Kyle's hand, bouncing up and down a little (I was wearing flats, not heels!), my loose curls bouncing too. "Come on, Kylie Kyle! You've gotta take your Princess to the ball!" Heehee, I felt like a Princess! This ball hadn't even started and I loved it already!

"Hey, it's ok, you made it here before the taxi so it's ok." Standing to my feet, I grinned as I unashamedly looked Sierra up and down. "Wow, you look even more beautiful than you do in regular clothes." I had seen the dress before, since we shared a room and all, but mixed with Sierra's great hairstyle and, well, her beauty in general, she looked like she was... I dunno, just this amazingly beautiful girl; geez, I needed to work on my metaphors and stuff! Could you believe this was the girl I was was gonna marry? If she said yes to my proposal, that is. W-Which totally wasn't happening tonight because, y'know, tonight was the ball for that guy who owns the mansion, so I wouldn't wanna steal his thunder! I would've mentally kicked myself over and over for that if I wasn't worried Sierra would pick up on it, so instead I walked over and pressed a distracting kiss to her lips, only pulling away a little later when I heard a knock at the door. Saved by the taxi! Yes! Pulling away, I made sure that the money for the taxi ride was in the pocket, along with mom's ring and the apartment keys, before holding my hand out to my vampire girlfriend. "You ready to go, or did you forget something and need another hour to fix it?" I teased Sierra light-heartedly, trying to hide my nerves behind humor.

As I continued to look around, I noticed the familiar green suit that I had picked out for Matio and grinned. He seemed a little nervous - I guess it was his first ball - but hopefully he wouldn't be nervous once I went over and saved him from the slowly growing crowd. "Matio!" I called out, dodging a few people as I made my way to him. At the last second I tripped, probably over my own feet, and fell into Matio's chest. "Sorry! I, uh, I-I tripped and, uh," I could feel the heat rushing to my cheeks as I stood upright again, composing myself as I looked at my boyfriend behind the mask. "Hey, you're late, but I forgive so..." I touched the platinum lock of hair nervously as I took in Matio's appearace. He really was handsome in that suit, even if he looked a little like the Wizard of Oz with the amount of green he was wearing and black, too, including black shoes! "I see you managed to get the black shoes I asked you to; for a moment I thought you might just show up in your sneakers!"

I squinted involuntarily as Rose tapped my nose, then pouted. "What's the point of going to the club if I can't drink alcohol anymore? Being sober takes all the fun out of it." I complained, but I knew that if wouldn't help my case - considering the fact that we had no idea what kind of bad effects alcohol would have on my medication, there was no way I'd risk my life over a drink. Letting out a sigh, I nuzzled Rose's neck, giving in. "Fine, no alcohol, just soda and if we dance we do it away from the crowd, deal? Oh! And if we make out, we make out in the middle of the crowd so that everyone knows you're with me."

Ok, I didn't think about the fact that Henry would still be old when Sora was old - with all these people staying young forever here it was kinda hard to keep track of who was stuck at that age and who was still getting older - so I was glad that he pointed out and calmed a bit more. As he asked Sora if she wanted to be escorted to the ball, my daughter giggled and nodded her head, letting out a, "Yes please, Hen-Hen!". "And leave me dateless for the ball?" I exclaimed as I reluctantly handed Sora over, quickly taking Micah in exchange for my little girl. "Oh no you don't. If you can't be my date, Newlin, then Micah will be my date... Kinda." Look down at the little boy in my arms, I ruffled his hair, the fixed it until it was near again, smiling down at the kid before looking to the whole group. "So, are you guys ready to stuff our faces with food?" "Yaaaay!"

"Well, actually, now that I think of it, I have two gifts for you, my Queem. First of all," This time it was my turn to pull Elsa into a kiss, because she was always oulling me into things without warning and now I was retaliating, giving her a taste of her own medicine in the nicest way possible. My lips were reluctant to leave her's but eventually I managed to do so, whispering a gentle "I love you." Against her ear before pulling back, a big smile plastering my face. "Second of all," I opened the box in Elsa's hands to reveal the blue and white flower bracelet within. "I'm not sure about ball traditions, but there's a prom tradition that the guy has to get his date a flower bracelet for her to wear on the night so... Yeah... I kinda did that." The smile softened a little as I allowed myself to take in Elsa's appearance again. Wow, how did I get so lucky? I knew that Elsa hated dresses, I knew that she was nervous about a repeat to the coronation ball incident, but as I gazed at how amazing she looked in her dress, I thanked the Lord that I had somehow managed to get her to agree to going to the ball.

"Don't make fun of me!" I giggled and nudged him. He was going to be more of a pain in my ass than the baby would be huh? "No wise cracks directed at the pregnant girl please." I shook my head. This was going to be interesting. Spending nine months constantly around ace? We'd probably kill eachother. Not to mention after the baby was born... Oh god what had I gotten myself into? I started laughing. Who knows, could be pretty fun to mess with him. "I'll make sure I get a doctor for the baby but shouldn't I try to find one that lows about immortals? I don't think a human doctor would be much help if I'm having a vampire baby."

"Oh alright. See I wouldn't know this stuff. Guess I really need thou here to help." A few weeks in and I'm already at a loss of what to do about things for the baby. I guess it was good to have an immortal to help. When he said no more drinking I glared at him. If looks could kill, he's be dead. "You're the one that got me drunk in the first place! I was fine with not drinking but you had all of this stuff for me to try!" I shook my head, realizing he was only trying to give me advice. I mean I wasn't stupid, I knew not to drink while being pregnant but I didn't think he meant anything by it. I over reacted a little.

I laughed and shake my head at him, watching him sprawl out on the floor. "Comfy?" He looked completely ridiculous. I just couldn't help but tease him a bit. I threw a pillow at him and watched as it covered his head. I stuck my tongue out at him. "Yea. We should probably get one for the truck. Actually though. I had a favor to ask you." I bit my lip. I hope I wasn't asking too much, I mean he was already giving up a lot for me and the baby. But, it was worth a shot because in the long run it'd make things much easier for him.

"No I'm not asking you to get rid or your truck don't worry. I'm not even asking you to get another car. I want to go get one of the trucks my dad has that are mine. That way we have to vehicles. Besides I'd like to have them back anyway." I roll my eyes at him. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't read my mind by the way. But shouldn't you eat? It's kind of bad not to feed right?"
