3 years had passed since Denzel joined the WRO, the almost-15 year year old boy now an almost-18 year old man, in both age and looks. In fact, his looks were not the only thing to change, Denzel was more serious now, his nervous and stuttering had been long forgotten and for the most time he stayed emotionless, much like his idol had been - he had to be emotionless in battle anyway, otherwise his enemies would be able to read his moves too easily and be able to figure out exactly what he was going to do, or so the Major had told him anyway. Throughout the three years, one of Tifa's habits had embedded itself into him too; he had fought off the thoughts of a particular vampire girl simply by keeping himself as busy as possible. When Denzel wasn't on a mission, he would do paperwork in his office, when there wasn't any paperwork, he trained in the training room until he was so tired hew could barely stay awake, then returned to his sleeping quarters and rested. Denzel had done so much extra training so as not to think of the vampire girl that he quickly got promoted from Cadet to Captain and was second in command to a sub-unit of 120 men.

Denzel had gone on his first mission at the beginning of the year, had experienced what it was really like to be in a war of sorts. It was nothing major, just a rebel group from Wutai trying to overthrow the unstable monarchy - no one dared to tell Yuffie about this for fear of how she'd react - but there was still death and injury on both sides and it still made Denzel realise how precious life was, how it really needed to be protected at all costs.

Once the mission was completed, Denzel went back into his old routine of doing paperwork and training, but the comissioner could tell that Denzel needed a break, that he was pushing himself too hard, so Reeve made it an order that Denzel should return home to Edge for a month or two to relax and see his family.

Reeve visited the Captain on the day he was to return home, only to find him tidying up his office very slowly and still writing out paperwork for things he didn't need to. "Is there any particular reason why you're stalling, Denzel?" He asked, recieving an immediate salute from the man in question to which he said a quick 'At ease'. Denzel lowered his hand and paused as he thought about it. "I don't know, I just... It's been 3 years since I saw everyone, sir, I don't know what their reaction will be. I doubt they'd even recognise me now..." "I'm sure that Cloud and Tifa would be able to recognise their son." Reeve pointed out before adding. "And I'm sure they'll welcome you home with open arms. Just try to make the best of your time with them, because for all you know it could be the last." Denzel nodded his head in understanding, finished tidying his office and headed towards his sleeping quarters to grab his pre-packed bag.

He was not the only one returning home today, the shadowfox was sending several excited soldiers home to see their families, so the trip took longer than expected as the truck had to go to Nibleheim, Cosmo Canyon, Kalm, Junon and other places. When the shadowfox stopped in the town centre by the Meteor statue, Denzel allowed himself a simple childhood habit and gulped. He was, admittedly, nervous about returning, but with Reeve's words fresh in his mind, he knew he had to return home before his chances of doing so were over. Standing up and slinging his backpack over his shoulder -being careful that his sword didn't damage it -, he started walking back in the direction of home.

Sierra: I sighed and opened my eyes. I had closed them, reliving the time I had in the different countries I had visited. When I opened them, I saw a man. The man looked so familiar. I bit my lip, before gathering the courage. I quickly stuffed the sketchpad into the bag and ran up to walk alongside him, "Pardon me, sir, but you look really familiar, do I know you by any chance?" I asked him, my accent Brittish. I had changed a lot from my adventure around the world. I wasn't as pale as I was before, but still rather pale, and my hair dye had all gone, my hair black once again.

Yup, and where Yuffie banged her head, and where the truck almost went over the cliffy thing XD

I typed Shadowfox into the FF Wiki and it came up with 'No results found'! Shame on you, FF Wiki! Shame!

Anyway, dinners nearly out, if I poof that's why

Tifa: It had been about 3 years since we had seen Denzel, of course Berret heard hell when Cloud and I came back. He had no idea where Denzel had gone. I asked Cloud about WRO and see if he could see if Denzel had done something risky at his age. Also, I cant be too stressed out with another kid on the way. Of course it would be a while since we had only just found out a few weeks ago and what not. I had been worried about Denzel and if he had been ok. Claire is now far, learning to speak more fluently. She hangs out with Marlene allot more while me and Cloud work around. (btw she has a small baby bump.. XD) Standing outside, I looked at the sky and then back down at the buildings and the people walking by. Hoping to see Denzel soon.

i really think that just sucked.

It was fine, but Denzel's talking to Sierra at the mo :/ Should I bring in Cloud to distract her for a second?

Sierra: My eyes widened in shock and my jaw dropped slightly. I should have stopped walking, because I tripped over a stone, but I regained my balence before I could fall over. It was Denzel. And he knew it was me. Sierra. He even remembered my name. Then it sunk in that he had asked me a question. "I er... I'm not quite sure." I mumbled and stuttered over my words. "I was just... Going somewhere. Anywhere. And.... I found myself here." I said quietly.

((Y'know, a womans chest gets bigger when they're pregnant. True fact. *Smirks a little.* I don't think it's possible for Tifa's b***s to get bigger than they already are!))

I had returned home from a delivery - I had gone back to deliveries in the hopes that I'd spot Denzel along the way - to realise that Tifa wasn't in the building. I searched around and, when I entered the bar area, I spotted her outside. Walking out of the bar, I hugged her from behind, placing my hands on her hips, and rested my head on her shoulder. "Any sign of him?" I asked in a soft voice, knowing that Tifa would know what I meant.

Denzel's arms reached out reflexively towards Sierra when she tripped, but quickly returned to his side when he realised that she was fine. "Oh. I see." He replied, not really sure what to say, worried about saying the wrong thing and making the conversation lead to their relationship and how it could never happen. "Well... Welcome back." He thought again, debated his words once more, before adding. "You look different. And your accent has changed."

Sierra: I shrugged. "The hair dye faded, and I've spent the last.... Six months maybe? In England. It was nice there. A bit chilly, and rainy a lot of the time, but it was nice." I smiled to myself. I had made a few friends there, sticking to the story of 'My parents are photographers, so they move around a lot.' I used that when I had travelled the world whenever I made a friend here or there. Which wasn't often. I didn't socialise much. I just drew, drank, and ran. That seemed to be my life now. Maybe I should go back to the mansion... Maybe I could see Denzel more often... No. I couldn't let that happen. I was pretty sure he hated me. Yet... He still remembered me. I laughed a little. "You think I look different? Have you seen how much you've changed?" I said, well, asked, sort of. I guess my personality had changed a little too, I guess.

Tifa: I looked back slightly as I heard Clouds footsteps. Turning to look back out, I shook my head "No sign of him yet.. I cant believe he did all this" sighed "Why did he have to go? Was it something he just wanted to run from? Something he wanted to solve?" I looked at cloud, whos head was on my shoulder "No need to yell at him and punish him now.. hes older."

oh and jason, not that I was looking at this girls b***s in the store but they were just that big that they cought your attention, like, I didnt want to look! XD it pissed me off, but im telling you right now, I feel bad for that woman if she got pregnant XD

A tiny smile twitched up the corners of his lips but only remained for half a second. "I grew up, unlike you. I'm not a kid anymore." He explained. Denzel tried not to mention that he was a part of the WRO, because the last time he had mentioned it, Sierra didn't want him to join the organisation, and he knew she would be mad if she realised that he had joined, even though she had no say in what he did now.

((Wait, Christina's pregnant?! O.o Sorry ^_^" But it's true! I can't imagine you with an even bigger chest, it's just not possible! Please don't kill him, Tifa! Take it as a compliment ^_^"))

I frowned and nodded my head in agreement. "You're right, there's no need to punish him. And I'm sure that whatever reason he ran away for, he'll come back. He loves his family, so of course he'll come back." But it had been three years already... I sighed and pressed a kiss to Tifa's neck. "Things will be ok, trust me."
