But all Red knows at the mo is that Sierra doesn't smell human. He needs more evidence!

Denzel's not that melodramatic. He's probably just not talk to her for a day and, after a talk with Cloud or Tifa, realise that she was probably hiding what she was for a good reason and he'd try and apologise or something.
